Use Your Own Repertoire To Limit Song Requests

Use Your Own Repertoire To Limit Song Requests

August 30, 2025

You can now use your own repertoire in Rekwest by linking a playlist, so guests can only request songs you actually have ready to play. This helps you stay in control while keeping the crowd involved.

How It Works

With this update, you can select a Spotify, SoundCloud, or Apple Music playlist as your repertoire for an event. Once set, guests will only be able to request songs that are part of that playlist.

Why Use A Repertoire Limit

Limiting requests to your own repertoire keeps your sets or performances tight and stress free. It lets you focus on playing, reading the crowd, and creating a great atmosphere without worrying about unknown tracks.

This feature is perfect for live performers who only know how to play a specific set of songs or only have a select catalog. Whether you are a dj, solo musician, band, or cover artist, you can ensure guests only request tracks from your known repertoire.

Guests still feel involved because they can browse your available songs and pick their favorites from a curated list.

Perfect For Different Event Types

This feature works especially well for:

  • Wedding playlists that need to stay on brand and family friendly
  • Corporate events with a pre approved music selection
  • Club nights with a specific genre or concept
  • Themed parties where only certain styles or decades are allowed
  • Live bands and musicians with a limited song catalog

By using a dedicated repertoire per event, you can easily adapt to each type of gig while keeping control over what gets requested.

Learn More And Get Started

To get started, head into your Rekwest settings and connect a playlist as your repertoire for an event. After that, every request your guests make will be limited to tracks from that list.
