How Mobile DJs manage Song Requests
As a mobile DJ, your goal is to keep every crowd energized, flexible, and engaged. Rekwest helps you deliver a seamless and interactive experience while keeping control over your set. Below is how DJs from around the world use Rekwest to manage song requests.
The Basics
Setup
Before the start of your event, you create an event with details such as name, start time, duration, and much more. Rekwest then generates a unique QR code or link that guests can scan or open to request songs directly from their browser without installing an app. We have various QR code poster styles to match your event’s vibe.
You can also set rules to restrict requests to your own repertoire or to automate decisions with auto accept or auto decline conditions, helping you stay focused on the music.
During the Event
As the event unfolds, you see requests and votes appear in real time and decide whether to accept or decline them. When you accept a track, it can be exported automatically to Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, or queued into your DJ software such as Serato, Rekordbox, VirtualDJ, djay, or Traktor.
You can also allow guests to add tips to song requests, allowing you to earn extra income during your set.
Post-Event
Afterward, you have the option to send follow up emails to attendees, making it easy to promote future gigs. Rekwest also provides analytics showing which songs were most requested and which led to the highest engagement.
Endless Possibilities
Rekwest offers many more features. Here are some examples of how mobile DJs use Rekwest to enhance their events:
- Pre-event song requests: Allow guests to request songs before the event starts, helping you prepare a playlist that suits their tastes.
- Pre-populate the list of song requests: Use a list provided by the client or a curated selection to guide guests’ requests.
