Kiosk Mode
Need a dedicated device at your event for song requests? Kiosk Mode transforms any device into a secure request station that guests can use without compromising your event management or accessing unwanted features.
Perfect for venues where you want to provide easy access to song requests while maintaining complete control over the experience.
What is Kiosk Mode?
Kiosk Mode turns any device into a dedicated song request terminal for your guests. Whether it’s a tablet mounted at the bar, a phone stationed near the DJ booth, or a laptop at the reception desk — kiosk mode ensures guests can easily request songs from a shared device.
How Kiosk Mode Works
When a device is set to kiosk mode, users on that device have restricted access to ensure they stay focused on song requests while protecting your event from unwanted interactions.
Kiosk Users have Limited Capabilities
Once kiosk mode is enabled for a device, users on that device are restricted from:
- Leaving the event – they stay locked into your event page
- Deleting requests – they cannot remove their requested songs
- Voting for requests – voting must be done from their personal devices
- Making donations – donations require their personal devices
Setting Up Kiosk Mode
Getting kiosk mode running is straightforward:
- Open your Event
- Tap the ellipsis (three dots) menu in the top right corner
- Select Kiosk Mode
- Choose which users/devices should be designated as kiosks
Once configured, those selected users will automatically be restricted to kiosk functionality when they access your event.
QR Code Integration for Personal Actions
When kiosk users try to perform actions that require their personal device (like voting or donating), Rekwest automatically displays a QR code that they can scan with their own phone.
