Take & Manage Song Requests
Once guests start requesting songs, you’re in complete control. Rekwest gives you powerful tools to manage incoming requests efficiently, whether you prefer hands-on curation or automated workflows.
Below is everything you need to know about handling song requests during your event.
The Request Workflow
All song requests flow through a simple four-tab system:
Pending Requests
New requests arrive in the Pending tab.
For each request, you have two options:
- Accept: Move the song to your accepted queue
- Decline: Remove it from consideration
Accepted Requests
When you accept a request, it moves to the Accepted tab. These are the songs you’ve committed to playing.
If you configured a real-time export in your event settings, accepted songs are automatically added to your playlist or DJ software. No manual work required.
Played Requests
After you’ve played an accepted song, mark it as Played to move it to the Played tab.
Declined Requests
Songs you decline move to the Declined tab. They’re out of the way but still accessible if you change your mind later.
Copy song request details
If you don’t want to use the real-time export feature to automatically move accepted song requests into your library, and prefer to manually copy your song requests instead, you can use the “Copy song title and artist” button to quickly copy track details.
You can do this by:
- Tapping on the request card.
- Selecting the “Copy song title and artist” option.
Automate request management (optional)
Don’t want to manually review every request? Set up automation rules to handle requests for you. Please check out the Automations for more details.
