Request Songs

Request Songs

Guests can request songs in just a few taps. The process is simple, fast, and works directly in their browser. No app download required.

Below is how guests submit song requests and interact with your event.

How to Request a Song

Guests follow these simple steps:

  1. Tap the plus button in the bottom right corner of your event page
  2. Search for a track using the search bar
  3. Select the song from the results
  4. Submit the request

That’s it! The request appears on your screen instantly.

What Guests Can Search

Search results are powered by the music platform you selected in your event settings:

  • Spotify
  • Apple Music
  • TIDAL
  • SoundCloud

If you enabled the Repertoire Limit feature, guests will only see songs from your own collection instead of the full catalog.

Optional: Add a Message

If you enabled “Messages on song requests” in your event settings, guests can attach a personal message when requesting a song.

Messages can be:

  • Private: Only you (the host) see them
  • Public: Visible to all attendees

This is great for dedications, special occasions, or just letting you know why they want to hear that particular track.

Optional: Attach a Tip

If you enabled “Tipping” in your event settings, guests can attach a donation to their song request. Here’s how it works:

  • A temporary hold is placed on the guest’s card when they submit
  • They’re only charged if you accept the request
  • If you decline, the hold is released and they’re not charged

Learn more in the Receive Donations guide.

Voting on Requests

Guests can also vote on song requests from other attendees. By default, they can only vote on pending requests (requests you haven’t responded to yet).

If you enabled “Voting on non-pending requests” in Advanced Features, guests can vote on accepted, declined, and already-played songs as well.

Voting helps you see which songs are most popular among your guests!

What Happens Next?

Once a song is requested:

  1. It appears instantly on your event screen
  2. You can accept, decline, or mark it as played
  3. Guests see real-time updates on their request status
